Disk Space Requirements

Snapshot Compatibility

Snapshots can be used to launch instances of equal or greater disk space than the original. You can expand but not shrink disk allocations.

60GB snapshot → 80GB instance ✓

Launching on equal or larger disk

Not Allowed

80GB snapshot → 60GB instance ✗

Cannot launch on smaller disk

Legacy Systems (SolusVM)

OpenVZ Quick Backups

For legacy OpenVZ VPS using SolusVM, we can enable Quick Backups. This feature creates a gzip of your entire VPS stored in /panelbackup.

To Request:

Open a support ticket to enable this feature

To Use:

Log into SolusVM CP → Quick Backup tab → Click Create

To Restore:

Extract specific files yourself, or open a support ticket for full VPS restoration
